The Simpsons

Homer Simpson is one of my favorite characters on television because of his crude and joking behavior that appeals to my middle-school-boy self. Homer’s ultimate simplicity is often translated as stupidity, but through all of the frustration he causes around his house and the town of Springfield, he never lacks the ability to make his family, and those around him, smile (even though he has not a clue why they’re smiling). Homer’s character stereotypes the everyday American male that works a blue collar job during the day, and returns to his toy-infested palace for a home cooked meal with Marge and the kids at night. Following dinner comes the indulgent drinking habits, couch potatoing, and more couch potatoing that takes him through the night so it can all repeat itself again the next day.
